We're Closing
After two wonderful seasons, we've taken the difficult decision to close Passing Place Pizza. Read about our decision and find out about our Horsebox - maybe its your next venture!

We hope everyone has had a lovely festive period and that 2026 is treating you all well so far. After much deliberation we felt it was time for an update from us about the future of our little pink horse box.
In the last 9 months our lives have undergone a number of personal and professional changes. This year our individual and combined schedules are a lot busier than the previous two years, with our family being our primary focus, sandwiched between increased working hours within our other roles and our typical very hands on approach to completing another extensive renovation.
It is for these reasons that we eventually decided we will not have enough time to give to Passing Place Pizza this year. When you love something, if you can’t give it the same level of enthusiasm and energy you always have done, it is inevitable that your end result will not measure up to what we feel we have provided for the last two seasons and would continue to want for our lovely customers.
Our plan is to spend some of our time prior to the building warrants for the extension being issued to spruce up the horse box a little, after what have been two very busy seasons, with the intention of listing it on multiple sales outlets.
This would obviously be a great opportunity for someone local to acquire a business with an existing portfolio of clients, an opportunity for an existing catering business to acquire another string to their bow or for a entrepreneur to buy a business with all the equipment ready to go (including a great dough and sauce recipe/the ability to ask us any questions about the logistics and running of a pizza business).
We will post again when the horse box is ready and available for sale with further details included regarding what will be included.
We wanted this post to primarily be an explanation regarding how and why we have come to this decision. It is going to be incredibly sad saying goodbye to Passing Place Pizza primarily because of the wonderful interactions we will miss with all the lovely people that made the time to visit us weekly. You have all been so fantastic and I cannot say thank you enough to every single person who has ever left with a pizza box!
This passion project would never have gotten off the ground or continued for the last two seasons without the patience and support of Sam, who was always there in one way or another ensuring I was able to get the job done!
Thank you for an amazing two years. When we know more about the future of the horse box we will be sure to update everyone on here.
Hamish & Sam
